  • Laurie Griffin, MD, PhD, is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist who cares for patients with high-risk or complicated pregnancies. She believes pregnancy is an important time to support both the immediate and long-term health of patients and their families.

    Dr. Griffin provides care for those with chronic health conditions, twin or multiple pregnancies, and pregnancies affected by fetal or placental concerns. She is also a physician in the Utah Pregnancy After Loss Program, offering compassionate physical and emotional support to families navigating pregnancy and postpartum after the loss of a baby.

    Dr. Griffin is physician-researcher. She received her medical degree and PhD in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology and fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Women & Infants Hospital/Brown University. She has NIH-supported research on the treatment of hypertension in pregnancy and additional projects focused on vaccination in pregnancy, stillbirth, and partner health.

    When not caring for patients, Dr. Griffin enjoys spending time in the mountains with her family.
