  • Dr. Roma Bhatia, MD, is a breast medical oncologist and Assistant Professor in the Division of Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah and Investigator at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. She specializes in the care of individuals with all states of breast cancer, with a particular interest in cancer survivorship, geriatric oncology, and the cognitive and physical effects for cancer treatment. Her research has been funded through the Center for Investigational Therapeutics at the University of Utah and through federal grants from the Health Resources and Services Administration.

    Dr. Bhatia's research focuses on improving quality of life and functional outcomes for patients, including the use of exercise and supportive interventions to address common side effects from cancer treatments including chemotherapy related cognitive impairment, cancer fatigue, and recovery after therapy. Through both her clinical and research work, she aims to bridge scientific discovery with compassionate, patient-centered care.

    She believes in partnering closely with her patients to help them make informed choices and navigate the challenges of cancer with dignity, understanding, and hope.
