Navigating the health care system can feel overwhelming鈥攅specially after a cancer diagnosis. At Huntsman Cancer Institute, our Patient Navigation Services are here to help every step of the way. These services are free.
Our patient navigators work closely with patients, caregivers, and care teams to ensure everyone understands one another and that all needed services are in place.
Patient navigators can help you:
- Coordinate and schedule appointments
- Communicate effectively with your health care team
- Connect with community support and resources
- Find financial assistance for medical care and complete the required forms
- Learn about your diagnosis, treatment options, fertility preservation, clinical trials, and other cancer-related topics
- Arrange transportation and lodging when needed
At Huntsman Cancer Institute, you don鈥檛 have to face cancer alone. Our patient navigators are here to guide you鈥攈elping you find your way with care, clarity, and compassion.
Patient Navigator Programs
Adolescent & Young Adult (HIAYA)
The Huntsman-Intermountain Adolescent and Young Adult (HIAYA) Cancer Care Program serves adolescents and young adults (AYAs) between 15 and 39 years old who have been diagnosed with cancer.
American Indian/Alaska Native
Navigators with our American Indian Program support new or returning patients. They are available to provide support to patients, their families, doctors, and other members of the care team.
Frontier and Rural
The Frontier and Rural Navigation Program serves patients coming to the Huntsman Cancer Institute Hospital from Montana, Wyoming, and rural Utah.
Spanish-Speaking (Espa帽ol)
Huntsman Cancer Institute has navigators for Spanish-speaking Hispanic/Latino patients and their families. Navigators serve as the bridge between patients and their care team.
